Louis-Marie Bournival's theatre career spans more than 35 years beginning with training and work in “La Belle Province” and then moving to British Columbia in 1968. Over this long period Louis has lost a partner and many colleagues in the profession who were exceptional artist in their disciplines: Dancers, Directors, Designers, Stage Managers, Actors and lots of friends outside the profession, all lost to that terrible disease, AIDS. During the past 6 years Louis has served as Co-Chair of the Theatre Cares Committee to support local AIDS relief groups, as well as the Actors' Fund of Canada. In this capacity, he has found a way to be personally involved in the care and support of people with AIDS and their families and other caregivers. By being part of this Committee he hopes that he can lighten the burden of the ones affected by AIDS and foster a sense of caring community within his profession.

Though her career as a professional actress and singer has taken her across the country and back, Katey Wright is proud to call Vancouver home. Katey has always been inspired and invigorated by community service. She has served over 10 years as an elected representative for Canadian Actors' Equity Association, and spent 5 years on the board of directors of the Jessie Awards Society (she recently re-joined the Jessies board as President for 2005-06). Katey first got involved with Theatre Cares back Vancouver in 1992, volunteering as a T-shirt seller during Theatre Cares Week, and has been an active part of the Theatre Cares Committee since its rejuvenation in 2001. Katey is a strong believer in the embracing and transformative power of community, and she is grateful to all who support Theatre Cares in its efforts to raise funds and awareness - and love - for those in need. www.kateywright.com
