During this week, Vancouver's theatres invite their audiences to donate to Theatre Cares representatives as they leave the theatre after performances. Some theatres also provide space for Theatre Cares volunteers to sell t-shirts and other merchandise in the lobby.

This year, the end of Theatre Cares Week coincides with the Firehall Arts Centre’s 30th Anniversary Gala on February 25, and some of the proceeds will go to Theatre Cares. Check out that night’s performance of Chelsea Hotel, then join the party and look for our famous Theatre Cares Martini Bar.  Admission to the party is $25; the party and show is $50.  We hope to see you there!

Many theatres that do not have productions running during Theatre Cares Week will participate by inviting donations during another week in the season. For example, the Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival wrapped up its 2011 Theatre Cares Week on Sunday, September 4.
